I joined the Army in 2011 where I became a Combat Medical Technician (CMT) in what was then known as the Royal Army Medical Cops. After completing basic training, I was assigned my first posting… in Muster, Germany. I remember it like it was yesterday packing everything we owned into our little car and driving over to march into our first Married Quarter. It was a drive we’d soon get used to ‘the Calais rally’ we’d call it. From Munster, to Hohne, to Sennelager… we spent 4 fabulous years in Germany, it’s where lots of fond memories lie especially as it’s where my two beautiful daughters were born.
Germany is also where my passion for all things fitness started, I completed my All-Arms Physical Training Instructor Course and there was no looking back!
Since Germany, the Army has taken us all over the place from Catterick to Aldershot and 4 wonderful years in a very sunny Dhekelia, Cyprus (not sure how I got that lucky!) Cyprus was where I completed my first marathon and I’ve completed a marathon each year since, supporting different Armed Forces charities.
However, as the years passed by and my daughters got a bit older, we decided we needed to lay some roots and that’s what brought us to Congleton.
Since my role as a phase 2 instructor at Defence Medical Academy in Whittington, I really began to understand that my skills lie in coaching and mentoring. Combine this passion with fitness and this is how Tactical Nutrition and Coaching was born with the aim of supporting physical and mental health within my community via group boot camps and 1:1 coaching.
